Fire Alarm Installation Process

Survey

The first step of creating a Fire Alarm System is to do a complete site survey to see what is needed, we can then fully meet all your requirements and make sure you are fully protected.

Design & Installation

We firstly design the system to make sure all aspects are taken into account. Once this is agreed upon we will install the system with minimum disruption to you. We fully test each system to make sure it’s in full working order before we finish.

Maintenance

Once your Fire Alarm System has been installed we offer maintenance contracts which will keep your system in full working order if it is called upon. This is an extremely important part as your fire alarm needs to work when you need it the most.

Your Fire Alarm system requires testing monthly, six monthly, annually and five yearly in accordance with current guidlines.

Upon completion of fire alarm inspections, a report is produced detailing the condition of the system and listing the areas of any non-compliance, which creates a database and asset register for future on-going inspections.

Conventional Fire Alarm Systems

With simple on-and-off switches, these alarms are designed for small facilities. This is an inexpensive alarm system but can be difficult to locate the exact location of the alarm.

Addressable Fire Alarm Systems

These are made up of a series of monitored individual fire detectors and devices that are connected back to a central control panel. Each device has a unique address/location for quick identification in the event of a fire. This system is more advanced and is less likely to go into trouble by a false alarm.

Wireless Fire Alarm Systems

There are several advantages to installing wireless fire alarm systems – the main one being that because there are no wires – the installation is less disruptive to your existing decor.

The Detectors and Call Points on a wireless system transmit back to the control panel on a Secure wireless radio bandwidth. This eliminates the need to run cables to each of the system call points and detectors.It is the running of these cables that takes time and causes damage to the building fabric during installation. Thus installing wireless fire alarms saves our clients labour and re decoration costs.
